Chandler

Hi everyone, my name is Chandler but you can call me Chan. We started Different People as a creative outlet for us both. I've always considered myself to be crafty (not necessarily a talented artist, but crafty). I’ve always loved to create things and art has always been a passion of mine. From starting a fashion club in elementary school to getting in trouble for selling paper bracelets out of the school bathroom, I've always been creating something. I also have loved literature and writing as well as other art forms like sewing and collage ( shoutout polyvore users! R.I.P.). My hopes with starting this community is that we are all able to learn from  each other and be inspired and confident to start something new!

Tristen

Hey, my name is Tristen! As a kid and throughout my entire life, I've always had a passion for creating things. I started a clothing company after graduating high school where I would share my art+design skills through graphic tees and hoodies. Since then, I've been further developing my skills and I’m really excited to start sharing my work again through this project. My other passions include: photography, videography, traveling, and cooking for Chan <3 My hope with Different People is to uplift and inspire others while having fun!

ORIGIN STORY

We developed Different People Post with a few key goals in mind: 

  • To Increase the circulation of FUN mail that people look forward to receiving each month. A mail subscription that feels like receiving mail from your friends or loved ones - Which we are both those things ;)

  • To inspire you to make being creative a part of your monthly routine. We get so caught up in the everyday stress of life and having a creative outlet can make such a big difference in improving your mental health! We hope that along with the monthly activities that we provide, you are able to start and work on your own fun projects!

  • To help you become a Different Person. Don’t get that twisted! You are perfect the way you are. But as a collective we want to be able to Grow and thrive!! Level-ing up each month and uplifting those around us!
